The country spends more than 149 000 acres to organic production and exports that surface yields by 200 million dollars a year, considered one of the most prosperous in the world.
The largest crops are cocoa and bananas, with 109 000 and 19 000 hectares respectively.
In the North, there is production of coffee, lemon, avocado, mango in Bani, noni in South and Central Cibao, Monte Plata cocoa and oranges and vegetables in Moca and La Vega up the box of organic crops in the country.
