His Majesty the King has presented the award to the founder of the company, Carlos Ledó.
Idai Nature has been awarded in the Spanish national section, of the environmental award and will therefore represent Spain in the European finals, in which it will compete with all the awarded companies of the national sections.
The European winner will be announced on November 3 at a virtual gala held in Brussels.
The organization has highlighted that this award is a recognition of Idai Nature’s effort for innovation aligning business success and sustainability.
This Valencian company was founded by Carlos Ledó in 2009 and develops exclusive natural solutions for biocontrol in agriculture that allow farmers to grow safe food in a profitable and sustainable way.
Idai Nature will represent Spain in the European phase of the awards organized by the European Commission. The European winner will be announced on November 3 and the company Idai Nature will compete with the awarded companies from other countries of the European Union.
The Biodiversity Foundation, dependent on the Ministry for Ecological Transition, is the entity in charge of managing these awards that His Majesty the King gives every two years.
The Vice President of the Government and Minister for the Ecological Transition, Teresa Ribera, has been in charge of opening the delivery ceremony in which this year companies such as Corte Inglés, Ferrovial, Naturgy, Smurfit Kappa, Eroski, FCC and CEPSA have also won.
